Alex Ring Gray

Alex Ring Gray is a New York-based composer, improviser, and multimedia artist whose work explores the natural world and our ability to manipulate it through electronic means. Focusing on immersive and introspective experiences, his works often feature interactive systems, media, and theatrical elements. Alex is an active music technologist performing electronics and engineering for composers and ensembles such as Nief-Norf. He is an intern for Dunvagen Music Publishers and has worked as a music engraver for Philip Glass and John Luther Adams among others. He is currently completing his graduate studies with Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe at New York University and holds a BM from the University of Tennessee. Alex loves the stars, mountains, and hot drinks.
