Alex Ring Gray

Alex Ring Gray (b. 1996, Nashville) is a New York-based composer, improviser, and multimedia artist whose work explores the natural world and our ability to manipulate it through electronic means. Focusing on immersive and introspective experiences, his works often feature interactive systems, multi-media, and theatrical elements. Alex has been involved as a music technologist performing electronics and producing concerts, recordings, and videos with the Nief-Norf organization and Graysmith Productions. As an intern for Dunvagen Music, Alex assists in music copying, production, and publishing for Philip Glass. He is currently completing his graduate studies with Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe at New York University and holds a BM from the University of Tennessee. Alex loves the stars, mountains, and hot drinks.
